More of a complaint than a question???

Should sellers be allowed to state "reserve right not to sell" in the body of their auction?

This causes a number of problems in my opinion and the only way for buyers to avoid them is to not bid on any auctions that state this.

Firstly, why don't the sellers just use a reserve price if they don't want to sell for a certain price? I???m pretty new to the game so I do not have 100+ platinum lying around. In other words, if I bid on an auction that states this, I have to wait until I find out if the seller is going to follow through with the sale. Often times the seller just ignores the auction all together if the price is not to his liking, forcing me to pass up other auctions I would like to bid on. Furthermore, I think the seller should not be exempted from the same contract the buyer enters into upon bidding. Does anyone else see the kinds of problems this creates for the buyer?

Sure! You can put anything on the auction body.

This has been said before,
Guild Wars Guru is not responsible for the 'follow' through of the auction. The auction system is basically a service for making selling easier.
It may be frustrating at some times, when your buyer is being an ass, but Guild Wars Guru can do nothing about it

That's what the feedback is there for i guess.
When the auction system gets older, and more and more ppl have feedbacks, den u can tell the good seller from the bad ones.

So I should just leave negative or neutral feedback for being totally ignored by the seller and risk retaliatory feedback (when I've done nothing wrong)

Do you see my dilemma though? How long should I wait for the seller to respond before bidding on another auction. Being a new player I am not rich in the game. I don't think the feedback system will be very accurate if users are encouraged to leave negative feedback due to situations like this, that could be prevented. That's why there is something called a "reserve price"
